How to Manipulate Anyone Without Them Knowing (Psychological Tricks) 1. Mirroring – Copy the other person’s body language, tone, and speech patterns to build instant trust. Example: If they cross their arms, you subtly do the same. It makes them feel connected to you. 2. Pacing & Leading – Start by matching their energy, then gradually shift it to guide their behavior. This technique is similar to matching and mirroring but instead of focusing on mirroring the other person's body language, you're mirroring their vocal foundations, ie. their volume, rate of speech, tonality and pitch.
